L'informazione riguarda l'attività di vigilanza e controllo che ISPRA svolge, in qualità di Ente di Controllo e con il supporto delle Agenzie regionali per l'ambiente territorialmente competenti (ARPA/APPA), presso le installazioni industriali soggette al rispetto dell'Autorizzazione Integrata Ambientale di competenza statale. Nel 2023 si rileva un numero di installazioni statali vigilate soggette ad Autorizzazione Integrata Ambientale (AIA) in linea con il 2022.

Il trend positivo registrato tra il 2009 e il 2014 ha subito una leggera inversione nel 2015 per ragioni indipendenti dall’attività di controllo, per poi stabilizzarsi tra il 2016 e il 2017 e di nuovo aumentare nel 2018 (registrando il numero massimo di installazioni vigilate), per decrescere poi tra il 2020 e il 2023. 

The information concerns the inspection and control activities carried out by ISPRA, in its capacity as the Control Authority, with the support of the territorially competent Regional Environmental Agencies (ARPA/APPA), at industrial installations subject to compliance with the state-level Integrated Environmental Authorisation (IEA). In 2023, the number of state-level installations under surveillance and subject to IEA was consistent with the data from 2022.

The positive trend observed between 2009 and 2014 experienced a slight reversal in 2015 due to factors unrelated to inspection activities, before stabilising between 2016 and 2017. It then increased again in 2018, recording the highest number of monitored installations, before declining between 2020 and 2023.
